I've been a fan of Modcloth for a solid 10 years now. That's a decade of perusing their site, reading their blog, back-and-forth battles with myself about buying that retro swimsuit/shirt dress/quirky brogues. All that time, I straight up had no idea they also sold housewares as awesome as their attire.
At first, I felt ridiculously silly. How could I have been so oblivious for so long? What kind of design editor am I? I should know these things, certainly. Did I miss the "Home" tab in the top navigation all this time? How could that be? Well, as it turns out, Modcloth conceals all their pillows, throws and trinkets under "Gifts". The fact that I've never once clicked on that tab perhaps shamefully says something about my gifting habits (or the fact that I'm so easily wooed by 2-day Prime shipping, as I'm a master present procrastinator). I guess I should have known upon seeing the brand's founders' covetable home; where else did they find all the fabulously offbeat decor gracing their San Francisco residence?
Nevertheless, I'm making up for lost time. To share my new discovery, I've done a little window shopping (and admittedly have a few things currently waiting in my cart...) of some of the housewares I'm no longer blind to.
