If there’s one person who knows how to get the most bang for their buck while decorating a home, it’s a professional home stager. Not only are they pros at making a home feel open, airy, and full of possibility, they also have ROI on the mind: They’re always on the hunt for those statement pieces that will have a bigger impact on a buyer’s first impression than they will on the homeowner’s wallet. And as budget conscious-decorators, they often turn to the same places that you do (IKEA, Target, and even the dollar store!) for affordable finds to make a place look a lot more expensive than it actually is.

Another store they frequent? World Market. The boho-chic favorite is filled with affordable furniture and details that help a property stand out. Not sure what to look for? Here, the four things (under $30!) professional stagers say they pick up again and again from the retailer:

Decorative garlands

Diana Weinstein, an interior designer based in Glen Ridge, New Jersey, loves picking up colorful details, like decorative garlands, to easily zhuzh up an otherwise lackluster space—no painting involved! She’d use this inexpensive and colorful option to add color and fun to a tween’s bedroom without making it seem too kiddish.

Experts say lighting is one of the most important things to look for in a home, so having a good mix of light—both natural and artificial—is crucial. But don’t settle for any old option. Placing unique fixtures in a room will not only light up the room, but it also gives an opportunity to make a design statement that sets a room’s mood, says Justin Riordan, interior designer, architect, and founder of Portland-based home staging company Spade and Archer Design Agency.

While Weinstein says you can splurge on a focal piece like this pretty lotus pendant ($150), you can add ambiance and sophistication in smaller (and more budget-friendly) doses with accent lamps, too. Riordan recommends these super-cute gold numbers that are only $20!

Throw pillows

When you think about it, throw pillows do way more than just make your sofa extra comfy: They’re all-in-one ways to add softness, volume, texture, and color to a room, says the team at the Heritage School of Interior Design. And they’re pretty low-cost, too.

“Throw pillows are an easy way to incorporate gorgeous luxe fabrics into a space on a smaller scale and save that budget for drapes and upholstery,” says Weinstein.

To subtly add warmth without weighing the room’s vibe down, Riordan likes these velvet throw pillows in either a playful color, like Millennial pink or a vibrant jewel tone like Gen Z yellow.

And for a neutral texture, Weinstein prefers this oversized faux fur lumbar pillow.

Want to show off your entertaining space? Set your table with a grown-up and classic dinnerware set. Riordan loves using a simple white set ($20), but the designers at the Heritage School of Interior Design loves supplementing with a pretty accent, like these blush stoneware set—a set of four salad plates clocks in at under $30! (They’re super similar to the ones you can find at The Wing!)
