Sure, we all want to keep up with the latest home decor trends. Since they change so quickly, though, spending a ton isn’t particularly appealing or practical. Luckily, we’ve done the hard part for you. We’ve narrowed down three of our favorite trends of the year and picked out a varied selection of well-priced items for each. With our choices below, you can freshen up your home decor and avoid racking up any pesky overdraft fees or unnecessary guilt in the process. On trend and on budget: what’s better than that?!

VELVET

Lush, creamy velvet is one of the most luxurious fabrics around. Though it has a reputation of moody formality, these days, we are seeing the lush textile in more modern, lively applications. Finding it with an affordable price tag can be a bit tricky, however. Here are our picks.

Shelly Round Velvet Pillow at Urban Outfitters, $39

These round, vintage-inspired pillows are offered in a ton of colors (we’re partial to the emerald, peach, and grey) and would be just as perfect tossed onto the sofa as they would scattered next to it for impromptu seating.

Velvet Table Lamp Shade at World Market, $24.99

This velvet lampshade is remarkably priced considering the quality. When the bulb is turned on, the mauve shade appears even brighter, softer, and almost translucent.

Hammondale Pin Tufted Convertible Sofa at All Modern, $314.99 (on sale)

At first glance, the $2300 price tag may seem out of place in our roundup, but considering it’s for an actual sofa, you’re scoring one amazing deal.

Sanela Velvet Curtains at IKEA, $69.99/pair

This pair of statement-making turquoise curtains can be yours for less than $70. The reinforced grommet detailing and durability of the fabric make this an easy choice for a window refresher.

Willow Velvet Ottoman at Amazon, $41.99

This chic cylindrical ottoman arrives assembled, and clocks in at just over five pounds for a nice, sturdy feel. It sports a durable velvet cover, which is perfect for the careless midnight snackers among us.

We love the stately shade of blue featured on this armless chair. The chair is delicately perched on a set of metal hairpin legs, for the ultimate in modern, of-the-moment decor.

TEXTURE

Texture in any and all forms is still dominating the decor game. From fringe to tassels to pom poms and everything in between, this is one trend that’s got major staying power.

WARM COLORS

For 2018, we’re taking inspiration from the warm side of the color wheel that showcases these bright hues. This southwestern-meets-sunset vibe we’re feeling represents all manner of yellows, peaches, pinks, and reds. Our picks below are particularly inspired by both fiery sunsets and glistening sunrises.

The solar panel included with this very reasonably-priced lantern converts the sun’s rays into enough voltage to power without the need for cords or wires.

Velvet Cushion Cover from H&M Home, $9.99

While this technically falls under the velvet and warm colors categories, we thought the intoxicating peach-y sunset color prevailed.
