Thanks to the technology that fuels our lives, it's common to have different types of electronics and lighting in one spot in our home — and a messy, tangled, out-of-control mix of wires under a furniture piece. This weekend: Reclaim a corner, under a credenza, the back of a desk or any spot you've got a lot of wires taking over with these wire management tips.

This Weekend's Assignment:

Get a wild wire area (or two) under control!

Maybe it's the fact that many of us are eager to plug in new electronics as soon as we get them home, but dealing with visible wires never seems to take priority. And of the many unintentional details that can make a room in your home look messier than it is, perhaps none are more invisible to us the longer we live in a room than our wire hot spots. Even tucking wires quickly behind a furniture piece doesn't really fix the wild wire issue permanently. To really polish the look of your space (and save your sanity), take the time to assess your messiest wire situations this weekend and attempt to tame any out-of-control tangles.

We've got the how-to below that will take you through the steps of labeling wires (so using and moving your things will be easier than ever) as well as the different methods you can employ to safely and stylishly hide, disguise or organize your wires.

Remember, as with all of our Weekend Projects, just do what you have the time and energy to do!
