Sidewalk chalk is a summer staple in our house. But have you noticed how quickly it goes? We go through several sticks every few days. In order to make sure we stayed well-stocked, I looked up a recipe for the homemade version and found a good one over at Mad Maggie Designs.
Her recipe requires the following items: toilet paper or paper towel tubes, scissors, duct tape, wax paper, 3/4 cup warm water, small bucket or disposable container, 1 1/2 cups Plaster of Paris and 2-3 tablespoons of tempera paint.
