Names: Johnny & Stacie
Location: Saint Paul, Minnesota
The space is located in a historic building in lowertown Saint Paul that has been the Tilsner Artist Cooperative for about 15 years and was built in the 1800's. We have lived in the space for a little over two years and love the exposed beams, tall ceilings, wood floors, and 1300 sqaure feet. Our style is eclectic and is a mix of modern and mid-century with a small collection of antiques for character and a few inexpensive, clean ikea pieces.
Stacie is an art teacher and Johnny is a graphic designer and we are both active artists and consider ourselves part of the indie craft scene as well. Most of the art in our home is created by us, but we have also started to build our art collection with other artists as well. Living in an artist cooperative and both have degrees in art has allowed for some trading opportunities and inexpensive art purchases.
We are both furniture design geeks and love finding deals on furniture. We have been lucky enough to score some great mid-century finds on Craig's list as well as our blu dot furniture from the factory sale located right in the twin cities.
Color is also something that we really love and we enjoy combining bright pops of color with neutral white walls and warm wood floors. Our living space is very important to us and it has taken us a lot of time to finally get to a place where we are feeling comfortable with it. However, we're always thinking about and getting excited for the next project.
Thanks Johnny & Stacie!
