Someone Left An Entire House in the Middle of the Street
Have you ever been in a rush and forgotten something? Don’t feel bad, it happens to all of us. You leave your phone on the nightstand or your wallet on the counter. Whenever this happens, you never seem to notice until you’ve already driven 20 minutes away. But have you ever forgotten something major? Like a house?
Apparently, one person managed to forget an entire house. A town in Delaware is confused as to what happened, because there was no note left behind. But the police were able to determine the cause of the abandoned home.
They had to shut down the street that the house was found on, because it couldn’t be moved immediately. Can you imagine trying to drive home from work, only to be told that a house was blocking the road? You’d never believe them!
The Dover Police Department shared photos of the home on Facebook with this caption:
Sooooo somebody left a house on Long Point Road. Nope this is not a joke. We are unable to get anyone to move the house until Wednesday, so Long Point Road is closed until further notice. Please use an alternate route of travel.
Inside Edition spoke with the police and Master Cpl. Mark Hoffman said that the department believes that axel of the trailer broke under the weight of the home, which means it was tough to get out of the ditch. Due to the time of day the house was found, they couldn’t move it right away and had to wait about 24 hours to get it out of the way.
In the comment section of the Facebook post, one Dover resident said that the frame of the house was weak. The homeowner was warned that moving the home was a risky move, but it seems they didn’t listen.
No one has been named as the owner of the prefabricated home yet, but can you believe this actually happened?
