Sarah and Will live in a beautiful 19th Century Haddonfield Manor House, designed and built by notable architect, Clement Remington. Remington was also involved in the construction of Philadelphia’s City Hall, the Curtis Building, and the Philadelphia Museum of Art.

Sarah was born in England and Will was born in Hong Kong, and the couple actually were childhood friends: their mums were best friends and grandparents were neighbors. After a 23-year separation, they reunited and were married!

Many of the pieces in their house are from Anthropologie, as Sarah works there as a Print Developer. The couple closed on the house three years ago on Sarah’s birthday, and since then, they’ve added Ramsey (their English bulldog), and Romilly to the family!

Apartment Therapy Survey:

My Style: Global Eclectic

Inspiration: The incredibly talented artist, designers and photographers I’ve had the pleasure to work with and call friends.

Favorite Element: Bright yellow exterior (it came that color!) and Pocket Doors

Biggest Challenge: Being a house that was constructed in 1895, it has some strange quirks. Nearly all the rooms on the second floor have connecting doors and there are so many windows it doesn’t leave much wall space for hanging pictures!

What Friends Say: When we got the house we really wanted to start a family; it started off with just the two of us so we were always told it was entirely too big! Luckily after three years we were finally blessed with Romilly (and we also have Ramsey) so it makes more sense now.

Biggest Embarrassment: The basement is one major project we need to work on; it’s nearly scary.

Proudest DIY: My dad has helped us do little improvements here and there but my favorite is the radiator cover bench he built in Romilly’s nursery. It suits the house so well it looks like it has always been there!

Biggest Indulgence: The Rob Ryan paper cut I bought when we first got engaged six years ago. It’s now framed in the sitting room!

Best Advice: Things don’t have to match and you don’t have to buy it all at once! Collect furniture, objects and books you love and your home will feel special and unique to your family.
