Q: I see faux sheepskin rugs accenting so many rooms featured on Apartment Therapy! They're draped over chairs, on beds, and so often casually tossed around or layered on the floor as rugs. I'd love to know how people keep them clean, fluffy, and photo-ready, especially as rugs in high-traffic areas like next to the bed or in the living room. Thanks! -Sent by Jenny
Editor: I have no personal experience with sheepskin, either faux or real, but I see so many insanely fluffy and impossibly clean examples of the stuff in our House Tours- such as the three recent Tours above. Readers, what sheepskin maintenance advice do you have for Jenny? Do you find it reasonably easy to take care of, or not worth the bother? And does having them draped over dining room chairs mean an end to red wine consumption? Thanks!
