Staring at a dirty computer screen while you're trying to work can be very distracting. Maximize your work output by setting aside five minutes to clean your screen using two common household ingredients, and you'll be rewarded with a streak-free finish.
My husband inherited my laptop about two years ago and I hadn't really seen it until recently, when I asked him if I could clean the screen with my new "magical screen cleaning potion." Needless to say, I was disgusted and delighted at the condition in which it was handed over.
What You Need
- Distilled water
- White vinegar
1. In an empty spray bottle, mix a solution of equal parts distilled water and white vinegar. I used a half cup of each.
2. Spray the solution onto a microfiber cloth (or an old cotton t-shirt). Do not use any sort of paper towel, toilet paper, or tissue to clean your screen as these products can scratch your monitor.
3. Begin to wipe across the screen in small, circular motions until you've worked your way over the entire surface. Repeat this step with an eyeglass cloth.
4. Use the solution to clean any other smudges on the computer.
You're all set! No more smudgy, streaky distractions!
