Dip-Dyed: Leave it to Martha to provide us with this high-quality DIY (above image). These dip-dyed lovelies are a modern trend, but we have a feeling their timeless aesthetic will keep them looking fresh for decades. Some latex paint and a large storage bin is all you need to achieve this clean, modern look (oh yeah, you need a basket too).
Embroidered: Fall for DIY went an entirely different direction when she turned a flat basket into a wall clock with a simple mechanism and some floss.
Hanging Planter: String together a series of baskets for a cascading hanging basket garden like the women at A Beautiful Mess. Change up the color of the rope to further customize this Bohemian beauty.
Painted Patterns: Honestly WTF has a gorgeous tutorial for painting your baskets with a variety of Kilim-inspired designs. Don't be afraid to be bold and have fun with your color palette.
