Q: Hi there. My spouse and I recently found a wonderful rental home, for a great price. It's big, the layout is wonderful, but there are more than a few problems with the visual aesthetic of the place. My biggest problem right now is that the entire upstairs is carpeted with this horrid seafoam-y, greenish carpet...
I've considered buying large area rugs, and runners to cover the floor, but then I'm still dealing with all of the uncovered areas of the carpet. Do you have any suggestions for potential color schemes that would complement the carpet, rather than trying to hide it?
The photos I've included have been taken with the owner's furniture, so the furniture in the photos will be out of there... Our bedroom furniture includes the Dawson Canopy Bed from Pottery Barn and matching dresser. I would also consider painting these pieces if need be. -Sent by Sarah
Editor: Ah, seafoam green: so soothing, so serene, so specific of a color to carpet an entire story of a house in! How can Sarah make the most of what she's got- or is covering it the only way to go?
