Q: When my fiance and I moved into our rent-controlled San Francisco apartment together three years ago, we were broke. Our downstairs neighbor got very pushy about our noise level through the old hardwood floors. She was so aggressive that we ended up making very thoughtless purchases on area rugs. Our walls are an off-white, with high ceilings and crown molding. We don’t have any other furniture in our bedroom other than our bed. HELP! What kind of bedding do we get? Nightstands? Or do we just throw in the towel and buy a new rug and then decorate more deliberately from there?

I feel like our rug is so busy that we have to be really minimal in our decor choices… -Sent by Trisha
