Fixing broken gadgets not only saves money, but it is also kind of fun. We take great delight in giving new life to a device that has heard its death knell, and do love a reason to break out the good ole soldering iron. Thanks to this Instructable, we will never again give up a pair of headphones as dead that have a broken cable.

Thanks to this How To guide from German Instructables user Bakn90 we now know how to salvage a pair of broken headphones.

To repair the cable on the headphones, you will need a new headphone cable (3.5mm), a soldering iron and some solder, a knife, and some glue.

Check out the post on Instructables for the easy-to-follow DIY instructions.
