A DIY Bamboo Wind Chime

Made from an old piece of bamboo found in the garage, a branch, some acrylic paint, and some varnish to make it shine, Michele created a wonderfully creative wind chime.

It's always inspiring to see people transform something that was right in front of them—and destined for the donation bin—into something useful or decorative.


A bamboo stake or two
A stick (like, from a tree)
A drill with small drill bit
A handsaw (I tried the miter saw but it shredded the ends of the bamboo so I used a handsaw which worked like a dream.)
Acrylic paints and paintbrush
