Decorative circular mirrors can make a real statement, but often come with a price to match. However, there are a number of DIY projects out there that can be done on a very small budget using unexpected objects. Ever thought of using plastic spoons?

Over at Addicted 2 Decorating, there is a great step-by-step tutorial that shows how to create a very textural chrysanthemum mirror out of plastic spoons, MDF, glue and spray paint.

In this project, blogger Kristi chose to create an ombre effect on her piece, but there are so many options you could go with. I think it could look great in gold, silver, black, or even with a minimal striped option.

For the complete tutorial, check out Kristi's blog at Addicted to Decorating.
