For those of us who live in a small space, a full-size Christmas tree may not be an option. But don't worry, here's an adorable small-scale alternative to the traditional Tannenbaum: a tabletop pine branch arrangement. Big enough to hold a few simple ornaments, but small enough to sit on your bookshelf, this tree is perfectly sized to deliver the maximum amount of cheer in the minimum amount of space.

Pine Branch Tabletop Tree

What you'll need:

  • Pinecones or sweet gum pods
  • Matte white spray paint (optional)
  • Tall cylindrical glass vase
  • Wide, shallow glass vessel
  • Pine Branch

Spray-paint the pinecones or sweet gum pods, then let dry.

Fill the taller vase three-quarters of the way with water and place it inside the shallow vessel. Pile pinecones on the bottom vessel.

Add the pine branch to the taller vase, and adorn it with a few simple ornaments.

Hint, hint: Cut one inch off the bottom of the pine branch to help it soak up more water.

Shop the Set: GLADOM tray table, in White, $30, IKEA; Glittery storage basket, $25, H&M Home.
