More fashionable than functional, this LED modification project is surely a conversation starter, requiring only a moderate amount of soldering skills, a set of Arduino-compatible hardware, LED lights, and a specific white model of headphones perfect to convert into a pulsing light show on your head...

Created by Becky Stern over at Adafruit Learning Systems, a white Skullcandy Hesh 2 headphone was disassembled and modified using 14 FLORA NeoPixels or 2 NeoPixel rings with an entry level 'all-in-one' soldering iron. The project itself isn't quite entry level, but those with some experiencing working with Arduino projects should find the modification straightforward and clearly labeled.
