What do you do when you covet a piece of furniture you just can't afford? You put together all your crafty skills in the hopes that you can build one yourself. That's exactly what someone did after falling hard for the tech-friendly Bluelounge StudioDesk.
Flickr user JosePerezFM fell hard for BlueLounge's StudioDesk (shown above), but he couldn't afford the $600 price tag.So, he built his own, modding the original blueprints to include hollow legs that wires from the equipment on the table can be run to the power strip on the floor.
We are way impressed, but we'd love if JosePerezFM broke down how much all the materials cost and how many man hours he put in to the project. That way you'd be able to see if building his own not only paid off for the mere experience, but financially too.
