Q: We will be moving soon (within the next couple of months) and I have a number of plants that have grown large in their current spots. Some are cacti that are about 3' tall or so, plus their pots. A few of these are plants that I have had for over 15 years and I would be heartbroken if they got damaged in the move. What advice do you have for packing these up? The move is not far and I can do multiple loads. It is about 20 min on the highway; we have a pickup and a Subaru Forester. I'm worried that the pickup will be too much wind and they are too tall for the Forester. Thanks in advance! Sent by Aim
Editor: My cross-country moves have all required that I leave my plants with nurturing friends and relatives, but I'm sure our readers have plenty of experiences to draw from and lots of tips to share. I'm also sure that I'd love to hear what Martha Stewart has to say on the subject, after that whole building boxes for your chandeliers thing.
