We've talked before about adhering your photos to wood, but what about blocks? Print off a few extra copies of your favorite vacation photos and you have yourself an afternoons worth of play time. Click through for easy instructions and tips for entertaining older kids who might think that blocks are just for babies...

You can check out the simple step by step tutorial to making your own vacation photo blocks over at Photojojo. It's easier than it looks and you can make the puzzles as challenging as you want for different ages of children.

For younger tots, we might suggest just putting 1 picture on a set of blocks, for older ones, try putting photos on multiple sides, and storing multiple sets of blocks together in the same bag! They can also be a great way to help kids with family members who might live far away, that they might not see quite as often.

They would be great in a bowl on the coffee table and a fun ice breaker for baby showers or presents for birthdays! Check local garage sales and thrift stores for older blocks that are needing a new home and you're all set!
