How to Reuse a Cabinet Door as a Frame

This Home Hack came into us from Apartment Therapy reader Brenda, who kindly sent it in to us after spotting Ashley’s Serving Tray from Salvaged Cupboard project post on Apartment Therapy earlier today.

Brenda is the talented photographer behind the EarthPlusArt Etsy shop. She wrote to say, “I just saw your cabinet door serving tray idea. Here’s another really great use for kitchen cabinet doors. I buy mine from the local Habitat for Humanity ReStore, so I always feel good about helping out that business AND re-purposing items. Super cheap and easy.

Aside from using repurposed materials whenever possible in her work, Brenda also donates a percentage of her sales at the EarthPlusArt shop to environmental non-profits.

What You Need

Old kitchen cabinet doors
Photos / artwork / prints
Spray Adhesive
Screw eyes

(This is an easy one!)

1. Trim photo to fit.

2. Attach with spray adhesive.

3. Put screw eyes and wire on the back

Thanks for the idea and inspiration, Brenda!
