While you’re probably already privy to Costco’s awesome deals on home essentials like dish soap, socks, food, etc. you might be surprised to learn they have some pretty stellar deals on furniture and decor items, too. In fact, the superstore is brimming with so many stylish and affordable home finds that it can be tricky to figure out what not to buy. So, who better than a cool designer to guide us along on our next Costco shopping spree?

An apartment designed by Hyphen & Co. (Image credit: Hyphen & Co)

We called on Shelly Lynch-Sparks, the founder and designer behind Hyphen & Co.,—known for their modern yet livable spaces (they even designed Rent the Runway’s boutique in NYC and Homepolish’s headquarters, see above)—to see what specific home decor items she’s a fan of at the superstore.

Here are Lynch-Sparks’ favorite home finds at Costco (available online even without a membership) and why she loves them.

“This live edge mid-century coffee table feels almost like a custom piece and would be perfect for any living room. The dark walnut wood can easily be mixed in with a dark or light area rug to add dimension to the space.”

“This chair is perfect for the corner of a bedroom, a wide hallway landing, or to add a fun accent in the living room. It comes in a variety of options and adds a nice pop of color to liven up any room.”

“A soft and elegant fabric headboard can elevate the style in any room. I’d love to see this paired with a wood platform to mix and match.”

“Nothing makes us happier than a nightstand that doubles as a (small) dresser. This is the perfect piece for people who live in cities and need extra storage, especially for seasonal clothes!”

Lyon Bar Cart, $499.99

“It’s 2017 and no home is complete without a chic, modern, brass bar cart, IMHO. And if it’s high tea that you prefer, the photos even show you how to repurpose it as a dessert and teacart. That being said, we prefer cocktails at Hyphen.”

“One of the main requests we receive from our clients is storage. One can really never have enough! A bookshelf similar to this one can be used 100 different ways and throughout the ever changing need of a room. In a nursery or kids room, fill the bookshelf with baskets to conceal toys and de-clutter. Use it as a bookshelf in a teen’s room and then convert it into a styled nightstand for a guest room after the kids move out.”

Thanks, Shelly!
