How To Sync Any Local Folder to Dropbox

Dropbox continues to be one of the best go-to solutions for backing up really important stuff into the cloud, but not without restrictions. One of the biggest issues is the fact that you can't sync anything outside the Dropbox folder, but now you can with a few simple tweaks!

For MacDropAny, it utilizes a hack by creating "symlinks" that essentially adds a hidden file in a folder that allows you to select it as a location for syncing through Dropbox. Simply use the app to call create the links and call the folder and bam! - you're set to sync!

For PC users using Dropbox Folder Sync, it uses a slightly simpler method by adding right-click functionality to set the folders you want synced to Dropbox. The interface may not be beautiful by any means, but you certainly can't complain about functionality!
