Hulu is exploring an ad-free subscription level, the Wall Street Journal reports. The streaming service is looking to more closely compete with Netflix, which is ad-free*, and HBO Now, which only shows ads for its programming.
The ad-free version of Hulu could be available as soon as Fall 2015 and would cost in the $12 to $14 range.
*In June, Netflix began testing ads promoting its own programming, but this author has never personally seen one.
