I Wish I Worked There!

Luckily for us we work from home, and even luckier, we work for such a creative company that if they wanted us to come into the office &mdash we would gladly comply. Surroundings in an office make all the difference and we tend to be much more productive when the objects around us are inspiring. We certainly wouldn't want to spend forty hours a week in a gray cube.

Kursty Groves is a design & innovation consultant, and presenter. She's also the mastermind behind I Wish I Worked There, a new book about inspiring and innovative workspaces from around the world.

Kursty and photographer, Edward Denison traveled around to twenty of the worlds most popular brands and captured the workspaces to share with the masses. After all, it's not everyday you can see inside the offices of companies such as Nike, Virgin, Oakley and Lego to name a few.

Our favorites, for obvious different reasons were Urban Outfitters and Lego. We've been to the Urban Outfitters home office located in the south Philadelphia Naval Yard and it's truly inspiring. There are so many creative (and even noncreative) jobs in their offices and you need to be constantly inspired. The same thing goes for the Lego offices. You can't run the Lego company without incorporating the product into your office design! We love how bright and fun the space is and that they took the time to be playful with their product.

The I Wish I Worked There! book is available at Amazon for £24.38.
