Netflix's new original movie, Ibiza, has everything: Strong female friendship. Hijinks. That guy from Game of Thrones. EDM music. Phoebe Robinson spitting one-liner darts left and right. Well-designed interiors may not be the focus of this movie, but they certainly don't disappoint. The design was so on-point in places that I ended up needing to scour the Internet for lookalike wall hangings and accent chairs.

When the girls arrive in Barcelona, their hotel room is… not black light clean, but boy oh boy is it chic. Again, not under a black light. Refocusing on the palette: It's very warm; a lot of mustard yellow and reds with dark wood. Bringing inspiration from the Spanish beach right into the room. I think it's dynamite.

To get the look, start with a warm neutral on your walls. This can be paint or textured wallpaper. You don't want to hit them with big color here, just enough warmth to give a glow-y haze. If you have the budget for wall coverings, I highly recommend doing something textured like grass cloth. It adds depth of color and texture, and it's not trendy so you won't regret it in five years.

For your wooden furniture, choose darker species and stains. Mahogany and walnut are great. Again, if you're looking at stained pieces, skew warm as opposed to the grey washes that turn cold. You don't need to go full on cherry wood because we'll add in red accents at the end.

Now to layer in various shades of mustard. The obvious and perfect place to do this is the bedding. A big, yummy yellow duvet makes a statement against soft, white sheets. It's bold. Because you're bold. You just invited your best friends on your work trip for good time shenanigans! Also, you launder your bedding. Because you're an adult who values hygiene.

Then, add personality and sass. There are fabulous brass pendants hanging over each bedside table–a great trick if you're short on table space. Choose lighting that is sculptural and you might as well make it brass. The curtains are striped in their hotel room which I actually don't love, but I am firmly behind large scale patterned curtains. So follow your bliss on that one. Lastly, pick a few big pieces of art for the walls. They have a framed print, a piece of fabric lit from behind hanging over the bed, and a metal starburst. All in the warm palette. All with patterns that evoke movement. Which is what you'll be doing in this room…moving to EDM music.
