Ichiro Inc. Koloro Plywood Desks

I spent many of hours inside the confines of those library study desks during college, the cozy privacy of the one person desk with partitions on all three sides maximized focus, minimized distractions. Ichiro Inc's decorative plywood desks are a high design rendition of the same idea...

Designed with the idea of "tools for living" by japanese firm Torafu Architects, the desk avoids the boring trappings of a cubicle with playful paint and array of accessories, including adjustable lighting and flip-down window/shelving.

Matching stools and shelving complete the system, the trio of home office furnishings illustrating how simply adding splashes of color to otherwise minimal designs can transform even humble materials like plywood into something eye-catching.
