Remember when you were little and all you ever wanted was to forego your homework and play with your toys all day? Well, now that dream is actually a reality for one lucky kid in the UK and Ireland, thanks to IKEA. The Swedish retailer is hiring for the very important position of Chief Play Officer (CPO).

The CPO’s primary duty will be to test out newly launched toys. The role is for one year, and of course, part-time and WFH. Based on the 35 new toys IKEA released in 2019, the CPO can expect to test out approximately 2-3 toys a month. And while there is no actual salary for the job, they do get to keep all of the toys. The primary qualifications that candidates will need to be successful as IKEA’s first CPO are a passion for toys and play (obviously), creativity, and a vivid imagination.

But before you get too excited, the role of CPO is only open to kids between the ages of 4 and 12. The LinkedIn job posting even specifies “strictly no grown-up applicants,” so you know they mean it. But if you happen to have a child who qualifies, they can submit an application via email by January 4, 2021.
