This $1.29 IKEA Hack Will Solve ‘The Big Bathroom Issue’ For Brides
It pays to be resourceful. And for one blushing bride, that price tag was only $1.29.
A Facebook post by user Djsweeby shared an Ikea hack that made her wedding day a whole lot easier. Via IkeaHackers.com, Djsweeby shared that when she got married just a couple weeks ago, she was concerned about how she was going to go to the bathroom in her beautiful, beaded mermaid wedding gown.
“I was really worried about going to the bathroom and not being able to … handle myself,” Djsweeby wrote. “Someone helping or watching me going to the bathroom on my wedding day? Not being able to have free hands to use the toilet paper? Or even worse if my period decides to show? NO WAY!”
That’s when the resourceful gal turned to one of the most iconic retail items out there: the ever-useful IKEA FRAKTA, the oversized blue tote bag that retails for $1.29 in the United States (much cheaper than the Shark Tank-funded Bridal Buddy, which retails for $43).
“My bridal bathroom helper hack costs about 0.80 euro and I did it the day before my wedding. It took only three minutes. What I like best is it’s almost free and allows me to make my life easier on my wedding day,” she wrote.
All you need to make your wedding day a whole lot easier is the IKEA bag, and a pair of scissors. You can check out IKEA Hackers for all the steps, but one important tip is to not make the whole in the bottom too big. “It is better to cut a smaller hole and to enlarge it a bit later. It must be close to your body if you want it to work!”
You can stash your DIY in the wedding venue’s bathroom or leave it with your bridesmaids, she noted.
