IKEA Just Lowered Prices On a Ton of Items
One of the impressive things about IKEA is that some of our favorite pieces become even more affordable over time. The Swedish retailer regularly drops prices on a number of items, and this year is no different. Here’s a look at our top picks for products that are sporting new lower prices.
If you’ve ever wondered about how some IKEA products are cheaper now than they were decades ago, it’s partially due to increased production, but also tweaks in design, materials, or process, and it varies by country and region, as well as by product.
“On average, the prices would go down, from year to year, 1 percent overall. Some prices could go down with a huge jump. Other prices may increase slightly. But overall, year on year on year on year, we’re trying to reduce prices,” says Marty Marston, a product public relations manager at IKEA.
This year’s new lower prices include some of our go-tos, like KALLAX bookcases, HEMNES storage, and BJURSTA tables. Check out the new prices below:
Crafty parents will be thrilled to see that the endlessly hackable KURA bed is now $30 cheaper, as well as the charming MAMMUT stool.
While individual items are certainly marked down, full collections are also seeing price cuts. That can be seen across all KORKEN jars, BJURSTA tables, IDEALISK kitchen tools, ALGOT organizational systems, JANSJÖ flexible lighting, and KUNGSHOLMEN outdoor seating. Some, like the ever popular KALLAX, see lower prices on certain finishes (the high gloss are still regular price).
