For my first five-ish years in Atlanta, I used to live walking distance to an IKEA. You can be jealous—I’m jealous of my former self, actually, too. I moved across town a couple years ago and quickly realized how convenient it was to have a home store so close by—especially one with the style, selection and prices of the IKEA Marketplace. There are just so many great finds hidden there—and I just discovered a new one thanks to an Apartment Therapy commenter.

In a recent Weekend Projects post about packing an on-the-go kit to be ready for impromptu summer fun, reader kimithy shared that they’ve long been a summer bag prepper. “I’ve done a version of this for years,” they shared, “and swap out the stuff in the bag depending on the season.”

Among the requisite items like sunscreen, a hat and a Frisbee, kimithy shared that they also carry a mini travel quick-dry towel, and linked out to a great IKEA find they love: this SOMMAR 2018 travel towel set.

For $7.99, you get two absorbent and quick-drying microfiber towels in two different sizes—one that’s roughly 12″ by 20,” about the size of a small kitchen towel, and a larger one that’s around 30″ by 40″, the perfect size for a sit in the grass (solo, or maybe with someone you’re very familiar with).

Plus the set comes with a small drawstring tote bag to make it easy to stash these in your summer bag for lazy days—or even in your everyday briefcase or purse for those days when you want to take your lunch to the park.
