IKEA Is Throwing a Nationwide Sleep Festival to Help You Get a Better Night’s Rest—And It’s Free to Attend
Self-care and wellness is beyond trending right now, but something that we’re still not getting enough of is sleep. IKEA has heard our sleep-deprived cries—hence their 2020 catalog—and is on a mission to inspire change with their After Dark Sleep Festival.
On Saturday, February 22, IKEA will be holding this sleep-inspired extravaganza within its stores across the country. From 3 p.m. until 9 p.m., visitors can participate in a wide range of interactive activities that help promote a better sleep moving forward.
Take a “Dress the Bed” workshop that is exactly what it sounds like—an opportunity to refresh your sleeping quarters with spring inspiration. Then stick around for the “Dress the Bed” competition, where you can your bed-making skills to the test and race against others to neaten up a messy space first. The winner will take a home a “mystery prize,” and were crossing our fingers that means a new mattress.
During the event, IKEA experts want to help you choose the right pillow for you to maximize comfort during your sleep. The Pillow Pairs event will give you access to an expert who you can talk to about any sleeping issues, where you might be feeling aches and pains when waking up, and what pillow options might be best for you.
There will also be a workshop called Storage That Suits You & Your Closet where you can learn the best way to organize your closet space and essentially organize your bedroom better. Have you ever had a hard time sleeping knowing that your room is a mess? That’s what this is for.
Additional happenings include a Smart Home for Smarter Sleep workshop, where you’ll learn about how light and sound affect the way you sleep, as well as a Pet Sleep Showcase that promotes IKEA’s LURVIG pet line. As an added bonus, an “I Woke Up Like This” selfie station will be set up, where you can take fun photos with your friends and family and promote your support for better sleep.
Oh, and did we mention IKEA is offering all day breakfast? That alone is a reason to go.
