If you fly a lot, it makes sense to get a credit card with airline rewards. Now, if moderately priced Swedish furnishings are your thing, IKEA just released a card for you.

The retailer announced back in January their plans to launch a branded credit card in the United States that will also provide additional financing options for "major home projects," as initially reported by trade publication Chain Store Age.

"At IKEA, we are passionate about helping our customers enjoy a better everyday life and are always looking for new ways to meet their needs," said Jacqueline DeChamps, chief operating officer at IKEA U.S., in a press release. "We spent almost two years creating the new IKEA Visa Credit Card to ensure the program would support our mission by investing our profits back into value for the customer. This program is designed to reach as many of our customers as possible with the spending power to make this their credit card for everyday purchases."

Card holders will earn 5 percent back in rewards on all IKEA purchases, which includes Traemand kitchen installation and TaskRabbit assembly services, 3 percent back on dining, grocery and utility purchases, and 1 percent back on all other purchases made with the card.

IKEA partnered with Alliance Data to create the credit card, which is actually in addition to their "Projekt" card, which launched in February. If you're planning a kitchen renovation, redecorating your whole house, or some such large project, qualified Projekt Card customers have special financing options, allowing customers to pay for larger purchases over time.
