Anytime IKEA announces a new line of furnishings and home accessories, we find that cause to celebrate (or at the very least squeal with delight). Available this February, the PS 2017 collection speaks to what we know and love about the Swedish retailer; each piece is playfully and smartly designed, most doing double duty. Highlights include a self-watering pot that helps keep unattended plants alive for two weeks (an item after my own plant-killing heart), a quilted blanket you can lounge in like a sweater, and a folding loveseat that can be hung on a wall when not in use.

Available this February, the PS 2017 collection speaks to what we know and love about the Swedish retailer; each piece is playfully and smartly designed, most doing double duty. According to the brand’s recent press release, this series was created for the “fiercely independent. For free-thinkers who refuse a work-eat-sleep-repeat life and who give convention a run for its money. Not asking for permission or approval. Choosing freedom and the possibilities that come with it.” We’re digging that maverick spirit, IKEA!

Highlights include a self-watering pot that helps keep unattended plants alive for two weeks (an item after my own plant-killing heart), a quilted blanket you can lounge in like a sweater (or hang from the new and funky valet stand when not in use), battery-powered lamps with serious personality, and a folding loveseat that can be hung on a wall when not in use (hello small space bestie!). Oh, and don’t miss the bowl-like rocking chair; a nest we could definitely see ourselves never leaving (unless we absolutely have to).

The bright and happy series features over 50 products (including limited edition items) dreamed up by 17 designers from around the world. Scroll through the above gallery to get a sneak peek at 21 of our favorites, and check IKEA stores—or online—beginning in February for the full collection.
