Following collaborations with a growing number of talented folks — David Stark, Pratt, Patch NYC, Lutz & Patmos to name a few — West Elm is showcasing more and more exciting partnerships. New for 2011, stylist (and former Blueprint and Martha Stewart Living staff member) Shane Powers has an exciting modern twist on indoor gardening vessels made of clay and glass.
Shane is a prop stylist, set designer and product designer. His collection combines a sleek modern aesthetic with the latest trends of indoor gardens, terrariums and even water gardens.
The matte gray stoneware pieces look great in person — individually or in groups. The Shane Powers Neolithic Vessels range in price from $14 for the Small Vase with Handles to $79 for the large tray. My personal favorite is the Sculptural Multi Vase for $39.
Don't miss the Shane Powers Cut Clay Cylinders + Glass Dome. The cylinders are designed to work together for architectural arrangements as demonstrated in the video above. Super chic and modern! The 3 sizes of cylinders are $19, $24 and $29. The glass dome is $49.
One of the more unusual and most inspiring designs are the Shane Powers Water Lily Vessels — large glass cylinders with a sculptural, decorative edge. $79 for the small and $149 for the large version.
These have been everywhere lately but now West Elm is joining in with the Shane Powers Hanging Glass Bubble Collection. Ideal for tillandsias (air plants) the bubble collection pieces range from $9 to $24.
