A while ago, we profiled a hotel designed by Joseph Dirand for the Habita Group, a company that's known for hip hotels inspired by Mid-Century Modern style. This 1950s resort building in Acapulco is another one of their acquisitions, and it offers lots of inspiring Mid-C spaces that combine indoor and outdoor style.
Designers Frida Escobedo and José Rojas Claudia Fernández renovated the building, opening up the interiors with white walls and shuttered doors adjacent to flagstone patios. Danish modern furniture is clustered in conversational groupings, a look that could work equally well in a Midwestern sunroom or a California patio. Upholstery in shades of green ties the furniture into the surrounding gardens. Get the look at home with vintage furniture, large potted palms, and tall white shutters.
