Subtle Natural Style at Le Placide

Hotel Le Placide is located in the heart of Paris on the Left Bank. It sits inside a typical, tight Parisian footprint—you could call it a pied-à-terre—but despite its city-centric design, the interiors are styled to connect with the outdoors. It's a good lesson in subtly bringing the natural world into an urban apartment.

Interior designer Bruno Borrione used Cole & Son's Woods Wallpaper to create the illusion of space. The windows are large, and the light-colored walls benefit from generous natural light, while small details like furry throws on the beds play up the woodsy theme.

There are sky-lit interior courtyards in the building, where potted trees and plants thrive. Bright red trim and turquoise rugs bring color into the courtyards, and vases full of branches tie back into the forest-inspired decor. It's a discreet nod to outdoor style that still feels citified and chic.
