Baskets as Wall Art

Baskets as Wall Art

Many of us bring souvenirs from our travels, but sometimes we can't figure out what to do with them when we get home. If baskets is your thing, this is a great idea of how to use baskets as wall art. We have seen similar treatments before, but never to this extent. The various basket sizes and patterns form a sculptural piece of art. The similar tonality and style help to unify the look. The natural characteristics of the chaise tie it all together.

This image comes from a portfolio of Stephen Falcke, a South African interior designer. We first noticed it mentioned on Style Files. We love the natural feel of his work. He has spent some time in London, where he got his degree from the Chelsea Art School and started his career working for David Hicks. His self-described style is "a melting pot of various worldwide cultures." Check out his site for more great interiors. Don't miss his "Lodges" section — some interesting mix of natural details and modern interiors.
