Inspiration: Using a Bookcase as a Room Divider

040309book-06.jpgWhen we lived in a studio apartment, we used a curtain hanging from the ceiling as a room divider--not very pleasing to the eye but it got the job done. On the other hand, Meg uses a bookcase as a room divider (and it looks and works great). By filling it with books, she keeps her sleeping area private and her living space its own cozy turf. More views of the room divider in action after the jump!

A small space that packs a punch--vintage Vogue prints, a shag rug and a cozy reading nook make Meg's charming pad one we wouldn't mind calling home.

Like yesterday's small space living post, Meg groups her photos salon style. Using seating as a coffee table, if the guest list doubles, there are chairs to spare.

The other side of the room divider--an oh-so-cozy-bed and a large framed print above keep our eyes focused on the design (and not the small size of the space).

Windowsill gardening is a must for small space apartment living.
