I tend to start decking the halls right after Thanksgiving to maximize my home's holiday cheer. Last year we showed you this amazing Christmas tree alternative by Dutch artist, Jane Schouten of All the Luck in the World. We love this approach to utilizing a collection to make a meaningful Christmas Tree. Here are some ideas to create your own wall tree with objects you might have around your home.

Why not create a window Christmas tree with slides or transparencies, no frame required...

Or display Christmas cards as they arrive in a tree or wreath form from a yarn wall display...

It would be a great time of year to hang up all the things passed down to you from friends and family members that aren't typically your style: Commemorative plates, doilies, vintage ornaments, spoon collections. Mix and match, arrange them in a tree shape and the overall effect will be personal and charming!
