Inspiring Additions for Your Home

Whether you want to update or re-do your entire apartment, sometimes a few subtle changes can make a big impact. Whether you switch out your color scheme in the bathroom or change your headboard for the bed, all change can be good change when it comes to perfecting your style at home. Sometimes I just like to re-organize my desk or vanity/closet shelving, and truly it really helps the energy of my apartment — but sometimes I like to think about what new furniture and accessories would make a big impact in my daily routine:

Since we spend about a third of our lives in bed, we should really honor the time we have to ourselves and take advantage of sleep. With my photography business growing, I really now understand the value of "Lazy Sunday". If I had bedding like this, I'd probably never leave the house!

Or update your headboard:

My apartment sits on the fourth floor facing South. This means that it's bright from 6am until 7pm and in the Summer all the direct sun cooks my apartment like a brick oven. I would love to find nice printed curtains that lend some darkness to the room and that also trap the cool air in.

Give your bathroom some color and try different shapes and textiles when choosing a bathmat and towels.

My obsession with Eames-inspired chairs, is ridiculous:

I love this Ripple Leather chair - Crate & Barrel

Recently I found these vintage crystal glasses and this set of decanters at thrift store:

I think they'd look awesome on a modern butler tray or bar cart like this one from CB2:
