These Are the Features the Most Instagram-Worthy Bedrooms Share, According to Survey
What makes a bedroom beautiful? The list could be as long and varied as there are people in the world, but when it comes to Instagram, a short list of features stands out.
Inspired by stay-at-home orders, during which many of us are becoming extra-familiar with our living spaces, British bedding and bath retailer Soak & Sleep analyzed Instagram trends to learn what the most-liked photos of bedrooms have in common. Some of the answers are just what you might expect: white sheets, wood floors, windows that let in natural light. Others are more surprising, like how far down on the list plants and paintings both land.
Here are the top 30 features of the most popular bedrooms on Instagram:

For this informal study, Soak & Sleep analyzed photos with the top five bedroom-related hashtags (#bedroomdecor, #bedroom, #bedroomdesign, #bedroominspo, #bedroomgoals, #bedroomideas) throughout the months of April and May 2020. From there, the team filtered for the top 50 most engaged-with images, then analyzed each post for furniture, colors, and other features.
