Inviting Hallway Gallery

Hallways and entryways can so often be dark and uninviting that we love to find examples that highlight the possibilities of the space. The hallway above with its warm neutral paint and collection of mismatched frames creates exactly the kind of welcoming atmosphere that helps make a house a home. Though Violet is lucky to have such wide and light-filled space, she obviously worked hard to make the most of it.

The black and white frames really punch off the neutral walls, and the twisted green plants add an exciting pop of life and color. By sticking with black and white pictures and rectangular frames, Violet helped keep the display from becoming overwhelming while simultaneously looking rather organic. If you love this hallway, then definitely check out other pictures of Violet's truly inspirational home.

Thanks again to everyone who shares pictures with the DC Flickr group. We love getting a peek inside your homes, and sharing your inspirational spaces with the community.
