This weekend retreat was not designed as a home. Rather, it was built as a testing and research facility for the couple's outdoor clothing & equipment line. The grounds contain a full kitchen and bath, but the couple continues to sleep in tents!

Setsumasa and Mami Kobayashi of General Design Co. had this retreat built just a couple of hours from Tokyo. Although they sleep in tents, this couple has equipped the grounds with wifi, electricity, and plenty of outlets to charge their iPads. What gorgeous architecture for such an amazing and inspiring environment!
