Jello Excavation

We welcome the warmer weather but the rain has kept us indoors more than we had planned. If you’re in need of a fun activity, whether indoors or out, check out this Jello excavation idea we found over at Tinker Lab.

Rachelle came up with the awesome idea of putting little toys, in her case toy animals, into the gelatin and letting it set. When ready, let your child do some “excavating” with a variety of simple kitchen tools. You can stop there or add even more fun with colored water in squeeze bottles. This also strikes us as a fun party activity.
