Jennifer Garner’s Laundry Room Makes Wash Day Look Fun
Doing laundry is one of those chores that is an absolute drag to do. You gather together your dirty clothing, haul it to the laundry room (oftentimes oh-so conveniently located several flights of stairs away), then you wait, and finally…the folding. Ugh, ugh, and more ugh. But, if we all had laundry rooms like Jennifer Garner’s, laundry day would probably be everyone’s favorite day of the week.
Garner, who has been letting fans into her home life via social media well before quarantine began in March, uploaded a video to Instagram showing off what laundry day looks like at her house (with a twist).
Set to Daði Freyr’s “Think About Things,” Garner danced her way through her chores—as would anyone if they had the counter space/storage/sink/shelving of Garner’s laundry room.
“I don’t know why I thought you needed this,” Garner captioned her May 19 post. Well, Jen, it’s because we all do.
Now, of course, Garner lives in a larger home than the average person. Therefore, her laundry room likely has the square footage of an NYC studio. In fact, the massive, clothes-covered island in the middle of the room could make a comfortable guest bed, if Garner wanted to take in a tenant or a wine-drinking buddy. Just saying.
But, if it’s any consolation, Garner doesn’t worry about keeping her laundry space uncluttered, nor does she try to hide the everyday essentials like trash bags, detergents, and household bits and bobs, behind closed doors. Her open shelving above her washer and dryer tells all.
Size aside, Garner’s laundry room screams “attainable goals.” It’s simple and a bit messy, but gives off “I am really trying, and somewhat achieving, my best” vibes. And that is a dream we can all work with.
