JLo and A-Rod Drop $15M On a Midtown Apartment
It’s official—Jennifer Lopez and Alex Rodriguez have taken the next step in the merging of their lives and families with the purchase of their new NYC pad in Midtown.
According to the Wall Street Journal, the power couple bought in 432 Park Avenue, currently the world’s tallest residential tower. The pair was rumored to be touring the building in October 2017, and they’ve settled on a half-floor unit totaling just over 4,000 square feet with three bedrooms and four and a half bathrooms.
JLo and A-Rod closed on the unit at the end of February for $15.316 million, a source tells WSJ. It was listed at $15 million, so either they got into a bidding war over the place, or they scooped up some extra parking or storage to go with it. The unit offers sweeping views of Central Park, a library, private elevator landing, and an expansive master bedroom that has his and hers bathrooms connected by a dressing room.
The singer, currently performing in her Las Vegas residency, has her former penthouse at the Whitman on the market. Listed in October, the 6,500 square foot NoMad duplex includes four bedrooms, six full bathrooms, two half baths, and four terraces that total over 3,000 square feet of outdoor space. The place has wide plank floors, ceilings that go up to 12 and a half feet, and views of Madison Square Park. It’s still available for just under $27 million, and comes with Chelsea Clinton as your neighbor.
