HGTV fans were no doubt delighted when rumors swirled last year that Jennifer Lopez might’ve hired Joanna Gaines to help rehab her new Malibu beach house with fiancé Alex Rodriguez, especially after Gaines was spotted with a camera crew in tow at the house. But it seems like the famous couple won’t be collaborating with Gaines and husband Chip, because the 4,400 square foot home is on the market again—which means you can snag the beach house Lopez herself called a “fixer upper” for the low, low price of $8 million, according to Realtor.com.

Here’s the scoop: Last February, Lopez appeared on “The Ellen DeGeneres Show,” sharing that she and the baseball pro had bought “this little fixer upper next to the water” in Malibu, calling it “a house that needs work.” Then reports surfaced that the couple had paid a cool $6.6 mil for said “fixer upper,” a three-story, five-bedroom, four-and-a-half bathroom pad in a luxe oceanfront community.

Lopez told DeGeneres that she’s “obsessed” with the Gainses and their former HGTV hit “Fixer Upper,” sharing that Rodriguez arranged for a FaceTime meeting with Joanna herself, during which Lopez “totally fan-girled out” over meeting Joanna. (OK, maybe celebs really are just like us in some ways.)

Then, just a few weeks later, Joanna was spotted with a camera crew at the pair’s beachy abode, which certainly seemed to hint that there was something in the works between the famous couples. But it seems like all hopes for a J.Lo-infused Magnolia TV show are officially on pause, because the home is on the market yet again, this time for $7,990,000.

Per the listing, the home has been “reworked for a masterful redesign in mind,” so it’s unclear if Lopez and Rodriguez actually made any upgrades to the plush pad, but given that the couples have clearly become pals—and Lopez and Rodriguez have multiple homes across the country—here’s hoping that this celebrity crossover event can become a reality someday. And if you’ve got an extra $8 million lying around, with some extra cash for renovations, the Malibu beach home can be all yours.
