Jeremiah Brent’s New Nursery Collection with Pottery Barn Kids Is Too Cute for Words
Designer Jeremiah Brent of HGTV Nate & Jeremiah By Design fame just launched his first nursery collection with Pottery Barn Kids. It’s inspired by his own children and experience with fatherhood, and every piece included in the drop emits a sense of calm, serenity, and peace. And that’s exactly the kind of vibe new parents need.
Brent approached his collection from two different points. He first wanted to portray his own experience with fatherhood—he has son Oskar and daughter Poppy with husband and fellow designer Nate Berkus. “As someone who never thought they would have the opportunity to have a family, and to have this journey, I wanted the feeling to me more one of joy and I wanted it to be something that felt rooted in the story and the experience of parenting,” Brent says in the video on the PBK x Jeremiah Brent collection page.
He also wanted to create a line that was designed with both baby and parent in mind. “Most people forget that parents will be spending just as much time in the nursery as their babies, so you have to make it a sanctuary for yourself as well,” he writes.
And honestly, he achieved the goal of putting sanctuary first, and then some. For example, rather than using loud, crazy prints, as are often seen in nursery and kid-related collections, Brent opted to go with a playful-yet-muted palette to appeal to both parents and baby.

Brent also included pieces in the collection that were designed to grow with baby and be utilized through the many phases of childhood. For example, the soft, Moroccan-inspired rug is perfect for a nursery, kids’ room, or even a living room or master bedroom.

“I love everything in the collection,” Brent says in the launch video. “Everything in the collection is a part of my heart…The fact that these pieces, parts of my story that got me through that experience, will connect with other people, that’s the part of story and design that really gets me.”
